Is This The End?

Headline in Haartez reads:

Kerry to U.S. Jews: Next few days will determine Middle East fate for decades

Is Kerry aware of any possible imminent breakthrough. From were I am sitting everyone is too distracted with Syria and now Turkey. Nothing is happening on the Israel/Palestine diplomatic front.

Or is Kerry just setting the stage for a "graceful" U.S. exit from peacemaking and active engagement with the issue. Is Kerry's speech just a prelude for an excuse to wash their hands of the whole thing.  "We tried. We begged. We warned you."  they can now say.
